Sally Dixon
With over 20 years in the banking, finance and lending industry and now being a finance broker for 20 years, Sally Dixon brings a depth of experience to her practice. She is passionate about helping people get ahead financially and goes to great lengths to coach and support clients through the demands of finance brokering. She is a quick, strategic thinker and goes the extra mile for her clients. She walks her talk; creating her own wealth and property portfolio. Apart from owning 10 properties she also has a share portfolio, managed and property trusts and a self managed super fund which also owns commercial property. Her professional merits rose her to acclaim in the banking sector and it was from here she launched her own business.
She is passionate about providing a brokering service that is based on integrity, honesty and has a solution-based approach to steer clients through the maze of lending options available in the market today. Sally is direct in her approach and does not mix her words. Often calling out the hard questions that customers struggle to deal with so she can create a process to help clients with solving them so they can move forward financially.
Sally works with clients from various backgrounds. She enjoys the friendly verve of meeting clients across North Queensland and looks forward to supporting your financial lending needs.
Throughout her working life, Sally has completed numerous courses, including a Diploma in Finance & a Diploma of Business Management, an Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning. She is currently studying to increase her skill set in the Financial Planning area of the business. She is a Commissioner of Declarations.
SD Loans & Leasing is a Full Member of the MFAA (Mortgage& Finance Association of Australia) and the FBAA (Finance Brokers Association of Australia).
Sally is an active community member, belonging to the Cairns Chamber of Commerce, the Cairns Business Women’s Association and a member of Rotary. She is an active socialiser, attending most of the major events in town. Sally was a finalist in the CBWC awards for 2005 as “Cairns Business Woman of the Year”.
Sally is an avid supporter of the racing industry in Far North Queensland, helping out at the Cairns Amateur Racing Carnival, the Oak Park, Mt Garnet and Einasleigh races.
Sally is married to Neville and she has a little dog called Bindi. Bindi is a very important member of the staff and it is not unusual to be greeted by Bindi when you enter the office.
When Sally takes time out from her busy schedule, she enjoys the gym, scuba diving, snorkelling, ballroom and rock ‘n’ roll dancing, swimming, dinner parties and having a champers with friends.
